Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Poll Test Engineer to design, execute, and maintain test plans for polling systems, data collection platforms, or polling-related software. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, accuracy, performance, and security of polling applications by conducting comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for polling applications.
• Validate poll creation, response collection, data processing, and reporting features.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Test APIs and backend services supporting polling platforms.
• Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the system can handle high volumes of concurrent users.
• Verify data accuracy, security, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Automate repetitive test cases where applicable using test automation frameworks.
• Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman or Swagger).
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is a plus.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
