About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that drive our business forward. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions that impact our technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions using modern engineering practices
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-impact features
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt
- Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production issues as needed
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate
- Contribute to improving engineering processes, tools, and team culture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Experience with modern web frameworks and technologies
- Proven track record of delivering complex software projects from conception to production
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team connections
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities
- Experience working in agile development environments
